If you’re interested in getting started in furniture design, and you’re artistically challenged like me, then this is the episode for you. In episode seven, part one of a series of podcasts discussing design, I help you to define your likes and dislikes, and also build a reference library for inspiration. Hey Dave, This was a great distraction this morning.
Another way of looking at beginning design is how one band covers another bands song and really makes it their own. A thicker line here, an added curve there, etc.
The ideas folder is one my wife and I have used for years. Anytime we are going to a “new” look (Sylvia likes to change it up), we pull out the folder and pour over all the ideas. It’s always a great starting point.
